Important guidelines for conference participation and website use.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the Medicinal Cannabis Practitioners Conference ("MCP Conference") website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

These Terms and Conditions operate subject to your statutory rights and consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any guarantees, warranties, representations, or other rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

2.2. Registration fees are subject to our refund policy as outlined in Section 7 and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2.3. The conference organisers reserve the right to make reasonable modifications to the programme and speakers. For significant changes to keynote speakers or major programme elements, we will notify registered attendees via email and outline available options.

3. Professional Conduct

All attendees must maintain professional conduct throughout the conference. The organisers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of professional standards.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1. All conference materials, including presentations, documents, and recordings, are protected by copyright.
4.2. Recording or photographing presentations without explicit permission is prohibited, except where permitted under fair dealing exceptions in Australian copyright law for purposes such as research, study, or reporting news.
4.3. Sharing of conference materials with non-registered individuals is not permitted, except where such sharing constitutes fair dealing under Australian copyright law.
4.4. Attendees retain ownership of their own intellectual property that they may share during discussions or networking events.

5. Liability and Insurance

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law:

5.1. The conference organisers' liability is limited to:

  • Refunding your registration fee
  • Resupplying the conference services
  • Paying the reasonable costs of having the services supplied again

5.2. The conference organisers are not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage, loss of profits, or loss of opportunity, except where such exclusion would contravene applicable law.

5.3. We recommend attendees obtain appropriate travel and health insurance coverage for their attendance at the conference.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the website and informs users of our data collection practices.
